Pretty Pillows

28 Mar

So remember that giveaway I did a while back, from the always amazing Fabricadabra?

Well the winner Michele sent me some pics of the dreamy pillows she chose, and of course I wanted to share so we can all be officially jealous.

Love it!  Thanks for sharing, Michele!

By the way – those couches are currently for sale on Craigslist Boston.  If you’re interested, check out the listing here!

Pillow Talk

18 Dec

Can’t afford a new bedspread?  Pillows are a fantastic way to change things up a bit, on a tighter budget.

I love it…

Here are a few pillows on my  “I would love to buy you but have nowhere to put you” list.  I swear, there is very little sitting room left on my couch at the moment.

So while we’re on pillows, I had this conversation with my girlfriends the other day.  Ladies who have bunked with a mate at some point… please confirm:

My hypothesis is that decorative pillows get thrown to the floor faster than you can say “g’night” which makes it hard to justify spending a fortune on them.  No worries – here are some very affordable (and even durable) solutions!

I want it…

I love the burlap pillow look right now.  Just hoping the cuteness outweighs the possible scratchiness factor 🙂
So far the best selection seems to be on Etsy.

Lions and Tigers and Zebras??? Oh my!

14 Dec

I have been on a major animal print kick lately.  And like a lot people, my decorating style is oftentimes influenced by my fashion style.  It started with a hunt for any article of clothing that was in leopard print.  I love mixing blacks and browns, and leopard is a great way to do that!

But when it comes to animal print for home decor purposes, I am really digging the zebra print.

{By the way… I just learned how to “collage” with my image collections.  Seems like everybody in the blog world is “doin it”, so I obviously had to.  I hope you enjoy!}

Love it…

Now don’t feel like you’re limited to the “traditional” animal print colors like the neutrals shown above.  Zebra can look GREAT in vibrant colors!
Note:  This can very quickly go from chic to cheap looking, so proceed with caution. 🙂
