Wear your Decor

25 Apr

Ahhh!! Some of my favorite home decor prints are popping up all over the mall!!  No place is safe for my wallet anymore….

So while House Full of Pretty is usually about stuff for the home, today’s post merges two of my favorite things:  Clothes AND Home Decor.  God love ya both.

It started when my friend Joanna, after learning about Chevron on HFoP, sent me this crazy cool chevron belt from J.Crew!

Teach me Tuesday: Chevron

19 Apr

Ok, here’s the deal.  For the past few months I’ve been talking about and searching for this awesome retro print that I so cleverly named “zig zag”.  But low and behold the pattern has a REAL design name!   This is serious learning people!

So I’ve decided to start a new series called “teach me tuesdays” where I share with you something “legit” I’ve learned from the design world.  Whether it be a design term, trend, style – we can learn together!  And if nothing else, it reeeeally helps your shopping habit when you have the actual name of the design you’re looking for.

For example… goodbye Zig Zag, hello Chevron!!

Come, let’s take a look!
