I’m a Home Owner!

14 Jan

Do you have any idea how hard it’s been for me to keep this under wraps for the last few months???   I’ve heard way too many horror stories of deals falling through at the last minute, so was super hesitant to go public with the news until things were final.  But it’s happened – TONY AND I BOUGHT OUR FIRST HOME!

Huge thanks to our family and friends for all of the support over the past few months…. And for those who so  generously offered to help with painting and moving?  I’ll be in touch 🙂

It was a long process that had many ups and downs… One that I promise to share with all of you future home buyers out there in upcoming blog posts.  But we couldn’t be more excited to start this next chapter of our lives.

And hello HFoP material!  The house has really good bones and a great back yard for our dog Roxy, but it also needs some major updates.  So I can’t wait to bring you along on the renovation and decor journey with me.  Get ready for some hopefully fantastic before and after shots!  I also hope to get all techy with you and start sharing videos.

But in the meantime, here’s a little photo of the front.  It’s a brick Cape, 3 bed, 1.5 bath, and just under 1600 square feet.  It’s in Arlington, MA which is exactly where we wanted to be, and only 1 mile from our current apartment.

This weekend we are so fortunate to have both of our parents help us with ripping up carpet and removing wallpaper.  Jealous much?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend (of not doing those things) and I’ll be sure to report back next week!
