Eat your Fruits and Veggies

18 Feb

So mom may have been on to something… but rather than eat them, why not decorate with them???  This is an easy (and cheap!) way to add some life to your kitchen, dining room, or any room in your house!

For you “non wasteful” decorators, there are some very realistic artificial fruits you can buy out there.

Friut

All of the above are from this INCREDIBLE website that has every fruit and vegetable you can think of!  You have to check it out just to see what they can do with plastic! amazingproduce.com

For decorating, I particularly like pears…

And lemons and limes!

How great is this for a wedding centerpiece/table number??

Now here’s a great New Uses for Old Things! We just got a trifle bowl off our registry, and let’s face it… as amazing as they may be, how often are you gonna make trifles? So rather than let the beautiful bowl collect dust, use it to decorate!

Same goes for votive holders, or other unused glass jars:

Now, if you prefer to go the real fruit/veggie route… there are some really clever things you can do with them.

If only I had thought of this first! 🙂
