It don’t matter if you’re black or white…

black and whiteThis post is inspired by my late Nanna and Poppop.

My Nanna had a true sense of style, and decorated their entire Floridian apartment in black and white. Everything from the wall art, furniture, to the decorative knickknacks, were in this ultra modern color scheme. And it was fabulous.

Love it…

Not the original (unfortunately) but their guest room had 4 mirror art pieces that I always loved, including ones of Marilyn Monroe and the Beatles!  Looked a lot like this piece: ($200)

Here are some other black and white wall art pieces and decorative accessories that would have been a perfect fit for their home…

Super trendy right now… Desitnation Bus Scrolls ($195)

DC2 Design ($278)

Bluedango ($79)

ZGallerie ($200/each)

Want it…

Etsy ($19)

Etsy ($20)

Diamond Hourglass ($25)

Decorative Spheres ($1 each)

zgallerie ($59)

Likin the black and white vibe?  Here’s an easy way to get started…. This look pulls from my previous post “My Claim to Frame“.  Black and white are a FANTASTIC and rather easy way to create this type of look because you really don’t have to worry about matching…

I know you have their genes since this site is so creative and always a joy to read. Too bad you don’t include their food ideas….that would require a whole new blog…maybe next year??? Dad

Thank you for putting this up. It truly reminds me of them and how they lived. I’ll missing walking in to see the black and white tiles, the mirror portraits, and all the other vibrant decorations which marked their unique style and attitude towards life.
